BID NOTICE

SEALED BIDS WILL BE RECEIVED BY THE Bossier Parish School Board Purchasing Department in the Former Benton High Gymnasium now referred to as The Ole Gym located at 110 Kelly Street, Benton, La 71006 until 2:00 P.M. December 8, 2026 at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud for:

Original complete bidding documents must be obtained at no charge from www.BidExpress.com, which has been designated as the only method and service of distribution of the bidding documents and plans.

Contractors may elect to submit bids electronically at www.BidExpress.com. Contractors that wish to submit electronic bids online may be charged a fee by BidExpress. In addition, contractors shall be required to obtain a digital signature certificate prior to submitting bids online. The bid security required by this solicitation may also be submitted online.

Any person requiring special accommodations shall notify the architect of the type(s) of accommodation required not less than seven (7) days before the bid opening.

NOTE: BIDS SHALL ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM CONTRACTORS WHO ARE LICENSED UNDER LOUISIANA CONTRACTORS LICENSING LAW FOR THE MAJOR CLASSIFICATION OF GENERAL CONTRACTOR.

All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates and must be in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or bid bond written in conformance with state law. Written evidence of the authority of the person signing the bid form should be included with the bid form. See La. R.S. 38:2212 B. (2) and (5).

The successful bidder shall be required to furnish Performance, Maintenance and Payment Bonds on the forms provided by the School Board and written in accordance with state law.

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held on November 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gym at 5401 Shed Road, Bossier City LA 71111. Attendance at the Pre-Bid Conference by an Officer or Estimator directly involved with this Project is MANDATORY and is a Pre-Condition for bidder eligibility. Sign-in for the Conference will be between 9:30 am and 10:00 am. The Conference will begin promptly at 10:00 am. No one will be allowed to sign in after that time and to be eligible to bid it is necessary to attend the entire conference.
