REQUEST FOR STATEMENTS OF QUALIFICATIONS FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES
The Grant Parish Police Jury is seeking the services of a qualified Engineering firm or individual to provide Engineering services pertaining to the development of a Watershed Plan and Environmental Assessment funded through the United States Department of Agriculture under the Watershed Protection and Flood Prevention Program. The Parish is requesting Qualification Statements from qualified engineering firms or engineers to provide engineering and related services for the eligible project(s) funded through this Program. The scope of services includes, but is not limited to preliminary analysis of the Parish's needs; collection and evaluation of existing hydrologic, hydraulic, topographic, soils, land use, and water quality data; analysis of Red River flows, withdrawal capacity, and water availability relative to projected irrigation demand within the project area; formulation and engineering evaluation of alternative means of diversion, pumping conveyance, storage, and distribution, including preliminary sizing and preliminary construction cost estimates; evaluation of the engineering, economic, environmental, and social feasibility of the alternatives considered; coordination with federal, state, and local agencies; participation in public meetings and preparation of the associated public involvement documentation; preparation of the Environmental Assessment in accordance with said requirements. All responses received will be evaluated in accordance with the selection criteria and corresponding point system established within the packet.
