PUBLIC NOTICE - - - SECTION 00100 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids or electronic bids are requested by East Baton Rouge Parish School Board from general contractors for the construction of: PROJECT NAME: Former Broadmoor Middle School Site SCHOOL: Former Broadmoor Middle School PROJECT NO.: 920.002 Sealed Bids will be received at the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board, EBR Food and Nutrition Program, ATTN: CSRS-TILLAGE Program Manager, 3000 North Sherwood Forest Blvd., Building A, Conference Room 51 Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70814, until: 2:00 PM, LOCAL TIME, November 3, 2026 at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bidders have the option to submit their bids electronically by using Beacon Bid. These documents will not be provided in any other way than as described here. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day for which the work is not substantially complete and $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day beginning the 46th day after the date of Substantial Completion for which all of the work listed on the punch list is not complete. The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board has adopted a Fair Share Procurement Policy with a goal of at least twenty (20%) percent participation by MWBEs. The policy and goal apply to this project. The successful bidder is required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount and a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount written by a company that complies with the provisions of La. R.S. 38:2219 and on the East Baton Rouge School Board's Forms included in the Bidding Documents.
