Notice is hereby given by the Assumption Parish Police Jury, in accordance with Assumption Parish Ordinance No. 06-19 (Assumption Parish Derelict Structure Ordinance), that the following property is in violation of Section 2 of said ordinance by being derelict and presents a danger to the health and welfare of the residents of Assumption Parish.
Furthermore, notice by certified mail has been attempted to the owner or agent of the owner, of the following property, however the Post Office has returned the stated notice, due to its inability to make delivery or refusal of acceptance.

Notice is further given that if the owner fails to commence to demolish or repair the subject building, dwelling, or structure within fifteen (15) days of this notice, the Assumption Parish Police jury may, in its discretion, have the subject building, dwelling, or structure restored to a safe condition or demolished. The Police Jury shall charge the owner for actual cost incurred for the work plus a fifteen (15%) per cent administration fee. If the owner fails to pay the costs incurred, the Police Jury may file a lien on said property in favor of the Parish and may recover costs of courts, attorney fees, and interest.

Sealed bids will be accepted until Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Any bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered. Bids may be submitted via Certified or Registered Mail with Return Receipt Requested to P.O. Box 520, Napoleonville, LA 70390 or hand delivered to the Assumption Parsh Police Jury Administrative Office, 4813 Highway 1, Napoleonville, LA 70390. Sealed bids may also be submitted via the Assumption Parish Police Jury website (www.assumptionla.com).
Bids to be opened at 2:00 p.m. on the same day in the Assumption Parish Police Jury Administrative Office. Specifications and Contract for the above are available and can be picked up at the Police Jury Administrative Office at 4813 Highway 1, Napoleonville, LA.
Contractor shall be licensed by the Louisiana State Contractors Licensing Board for Rigging, House Moving, Wrecking and Dismantling. Contractor’s license number must appear on the face of the sealed envelope containing his/hers bid.

DECLARATION OF ELECTION RESULTS
Be it known and declared that the governing authority of the Village of Napoleonville, State of Louisiana (the “Village”), did meet in open and public session to examine the official certified tabulations of votes cast at the special election held in the Village on Saturday, June 27, 2026, and did examine and canvass the returns of the said election, there having been submitted at said election the following proposition, to wit:

(MILLAGE RENEWAL)
Shall the Village of Napoleonville, State of Louisiana (the “Village”), continue to levy a tax of 7.02 mills (the “Tax”) on all property subject to taxation in the Village for a period of 10 years, beginning with the year 2028 and ending with the year 2037 (an estimated $20,400 reasonably expected at this time to be collected from the levy of the Tax for an entire year), for the purpose of providing general funds for street improvements and any other lawful purposes of the Village?
There was found by said count and canvass that there was a total of 58 votes cast IN FAVOR OF the Proposition and a total of 29 votes cast AGAINST the Proposition, as hereinabove set forth, and that there was a majority of 29 votes cast IN FAVOR OF the Proposition as hereinabove set forth. Therefore, it has been declared by the governing authority of the Village that the proposition as hereinabove set forth was duly CARRIED by a majority of the votes cast by the qualified electors voting at the said special election held in the Village on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Results by precinct are available from the Clerk of the Village during regular business hours or via the Louisiana Secretary of State’s website (voterportal.sos.la.gov). The actual cost of the election as determined by the Louisiana Secretary of State in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 8-A of Title 18 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, as amended, is $203.19.
