PUBLIC NOTICE - - - NOTICE TO BIDDERS Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received until 10:00 AM, Monday, October 19, 2026, at the Scott City Hall Building, 125 Lions Club Road, Scott, Louisiana and shall thereafter be opened and publicly read aloud for: HARVEST POINTE OVERLAY The project will consist of patching and overlaying a section of Harvest Pointe Circle within the City of Scott. Bids received after the time specified above will not be considered. Digital copies may be obtained only from Bonnie Anderson at banderson@cityofscott.org. The Specifications and Documents shall be available until twenty-four (24) hours before the time scheduled for the opening of bids. Bids shall be submitted inside a sealed envelope addressed to City of Scott showing the name of the project as above and the name of the Bidder. Any Bidder submitting a bid in the amount of $50,000.00 or more shall be a licensed contractor in accordance with Louisiana R.S. 37:2150-2164 and shall show the license number on the front of the sealed envelope in which the bid is enclosed. The Bidder shall hold a license with the classification Highway, street and bridge construction or its subclassification - Highway, street and bridge construction Permanent or paved highways and streets (asphalt hot and cold plant mix) as issued by the State of Louisiana Licensing Board for Contractors. Bids submitted not in accordance with these requirements shall be rejected and returned unopened to the Bidder. Bids must be submitted on the Bid Form included in the Specifications and the Documents. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashiers Check, or Bid Bond payable to the City of Scott, the amount of which is not to be less than five (5) percent of the total bid. This surety shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract should it be awarded to him in conformity with the Documents. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the full amount of the contract must be completed upon award of the contract by the successful bidder. No Bidder may withdraw the submitted bid for at least forty-five (45) days after the time scheduled for the opening of bids, except to withdraw bids in accordance with Title 38 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes.
