PUBLIC NOTICE - - - SECTION 00100 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed bids or electronic bids are requested by East Baton Rouge Parish School Board from contractors for repair, alteration, or construction of: PROJECT NAME: The New High School Experience: Tara High School Athletic Upgrades SCHOOL: Tara High School PROJECT NO.: 9002-25/26-F01 Sealed Bids will be received at the East Baton Rouge Parish School Board, EBR Food and Nutrition Program, ATTN: CSRS-TILLAGE Program Manager, 3000 North Sherwood Forest Blvd., Building A, Room 51 Baton Rouge, Louisiana 70814, until: 2:00 PM, LOCAL TIME, September 29, 2026 at which time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bidders have the option to submit their bids electronically by using Beacon Bid. Complete Bid Documents may be obtained electronically at: https://www.beaconbid.com/solicitations/east-baton-rouge-schools There is no cost associated with collecting the documents. These documents will not be provided in any other way than as described here. The successful Bidder is allowed 90 calendar days to complete the Project from the commencement date stated in the Agreement or a Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages will be assessed at $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day for which the work is not substantially complete and $500.00 for each consecutive calendar day beginning the 46th day after the date of Substantial Completion for which all of the work listed on the punch list is not complete. The East Baton Rouge Parish School Board has adopted a Fair Share Procurement Policy with a goal of at least twenty (20%) percent participation by MWBEs. The policy and goal apply to this project. The successful bidder is required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount and a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount written by a company that complies with the provisions of La. R.S. 38:2219 and on the East Baton Rouge School Board's Forms included in the Bidding Documents. A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at 2:00 p.m. on September 17, 2026, at 3000 North Sherwood Forest, Building A, Room 51, Baron Rouge, Louisiana 70814. Attendance at this Pre-bid Conference is Mandatory, and bidders must be seated prior to 2:00 p.m. in order to submit a bid. The apparent low bidder must complete and deliver to CSRS-Tillage Program Management at the address stated above within ten (10) calendar days after the date of the opening of the Bids- the sworn affidavit required to comply with La. R.S. 38:2212.10 regarding an employee status verification system, the signed no-conviction affidavit required by La. R.S. 38:2227, the non-collusion affidavit required by La. R. S. 38:2224, and other required documents as specified in the Bidding Documents. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days after the date of the bid opening except as provided by law.
