The purchasing agent on behalf of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriffs Office of Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana, does hereby advertise for sealed RFPs and will open same on:

1. Tuesday, October 6, 2026.

2. At the Archives & Central Distribution Facility of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriffs Office located at 5450 East Broad Street, Lake Charles, Louisiana, 70615, at the hour of 10:00 a.m. C.S.T.

3. For: Request for Proposals for Emergency Standby Disaster Recovery Mitigation & Remediation Services.

4. All RFPs must be submitted according to RFP requirements. Paper RFP may be obtained in the Purchasing Office of the Calcasieu Parish Sheriffs Office. An electronic copy of this RFP may be obtained from

5. Preference is given to materials, supplies, and provisions that are produced, manufactured, or grown in Louisiana, quality being equal to articles offered by competitors outside the State.

6. The public shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until the Contract between the Calcasieu Parish Sheriffs Office and the Contractor is fully executed.

7. The Sheriffs Office reserves the right to reject any and all RFPs for just cause as permitted by LA R.S. 38:2214B. The ability of an Entity to reject any bid is applicable only when administered in accordance with the Public Bid Law. In accordance with LSA--R.S. 38:2212(B)(1), the provisions and requirements of this Section, those stated in the bidding documents shall not be waived by any entity.

8. RFP may be held by the Sheriffs Office for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) days from the date of the opening of RFP for the purpose of reviewing the RFP and investigation the qualifications of bidders, prior to award.

9. Official action on this RFP will be taken within Forty-five (45) days by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriffs Office.
