PUBLIC NOTICE - - - REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) FORMER VALENA C. JONES SCHOOL REDEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITY The New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA), in partnership with the Orleans Parish School Board (OPSB), is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) seeking proposals from qualified development teams for the adaptive reuse and redevelopment of the former Valena C. Jones School located at 1901 N. Galvez Street, New Orleans, Louisiana. A virtual Information Meeting will be held via Zoom on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. (CDT). Respondents are encouraged to attend this meeting, during which NORA staff will provide an overview of the redevelopment opportunity, solicitation process, submission requirements, anticipated timeline, and answer questions. Attendance is not mandatory to submit a response. Proposals must be submitted electronically no later than TUESDAY, OCTOBER 27, 2026, at 4:00 P.M. (CDT). Late submissions will not be accepted. Respondents must submit all required materials electronically using a shared Microsoft OneDrive folder. Detailed submission instructions will be included in the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) package. NORA will not accept hard copy submissions.
