The Washington Parish Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness has received a grant through the FEMA Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) and will be accepting sealed bids for the complete installation of permanent diesel generators and automatic transfer switches at 6 locations. Specific locations and projects are listed in the bid specification packet that can be obtained from the Washington Parish Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness at 803 Pearl Street, Franklinton, LA 70438 or by emailing bjbreland@wpgov.org . The bid prices should include all labor, materials and equipment for a complete installation using a DESIGN/BUILD approach. The successful contractor will be chosen by the parish according to the best design/build approach. Vendors may bid on one, or all projects listed within the bid specifications. A pre-bid conference will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, at 10:00A.M. in the Washington Parish Government Conference Room located at 909 Pearl St, Franklinton LA 70438. Sealed bids must be received by 10:00A.M. on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the Washington Parish Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness Office at 901 Pearl Street, Franklinton, LA 70438. Bids received after the date and time specified herein will be returned unopened. Additionally, bid specifications may be viewed and bids placed online at www.bidexpress.com. Online bidding is sealed (cannot be opened by the parish) until time and date posted above. Sealed bid packet must read “Sealed Bid Documents 4559-0056 Enclosed” on the outside.
