Bids will be received by Richland Parish Schools Child Nutrition Services, hereby referred to as the SFA, until Monday, June 29, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., at the Child Nutrition Services Office for the following:
TO CLEAN CAFETERIA HOODS, FANS, FILTER, AND EXHAUST FANS

All bids are confidential and will not become public knowledge until opened. Child Nutrition Services reserves the right to award and/or reject any and/or all bids and waive any technicalities or irregularities. This contract will not be awarded solely on the basis of cost. Rather the contract for this project will be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance, and references. The SFA reserves the right to determine the lowest responsive and responsible contractor on the basis of an individual item, group of items, or any way determined to be in the best interest of SFA.
SPECIFICATIONS
SERVICE ON HOOD CLEANING SHOULD INCLUDE:
1. Summer work schedule is Monday through Thursday 7:30 to 4:30 p.m.
2. Remove cowling from motor on roof
3. Inspect fan belts and bearings
4. Grease bearings and report on condition, if necessary
5. Replace fan belt if provided
6. Replace light bulbs when necessary
7. De-grease fan blade and vent shaft from motor (on roof) to hood in kitchen
8. Remove filters above cooking area, chemically de-grease and steam clean
9. Steam clean and chemically de-grease hood above cooking area
10. Steam clean and chemically de-grease floor under work area
11. Apply ante-bacterial agent to non-food contact surfaces under and behind cooking area
12. Present report as to condition of fan motor, vent-a-hood and exhaust system
13. Bidder should be able to provide proof of liability insurance upon request
14. TAX EXEMPT—No charge will be allowed for Federal, State, or City taxes for which the Board of Education is exempt. The price bid shall be net and shall not include the amount of any such tax. Exemption certificate, if required, will be furnished on forms provided by the vendor.
15. Invoices shall have all systems listed by school and price for each school when submitted for payment. Statements are to be mailed to Richland Parish School Food Service, Sylvia Cartwright, P.O. Box 599, Rayville, LA 71269.
INSPECTION AND TESTING:
All services are subject to inspection and testing after completion. In the event a service is or does not otherwise conform to specification requirements, it will be rejected and the contractor must redo at the contractor’s expense.
LIMITIATIONS
Service must be completed between the hours of 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday thru Thursday. Contractor should contact manager at each site to set-up date and time. Site invoices require the signature of cafeteria manager or school custodian. School buildings are closed on Fridays during the summer months. The last day of Summer Schedule is July 24, 2026.
