Sealed Bids from qualified firms and/or qualified vendors will be received by the ST. MARTIN PARISH GOVERNMENT at the ST.MARTIN PARISH GOVERNMENT ANNEX BUILDING, 301 W. Port Street, St. Martinville, Louisiana 70582, on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., for the following:

Per LA R.S. 38:2214 (A) The bids will be opened and read aloud.

General Description:

One (01) New Current Production Model (2026-year model or newer) Compact/Mini Hydraulic Crawler Excavators

Min wt 16,707; max wt. 18,659 lb compact/mini hydraulic crawler excavator capable of handling a pin on 48” cleanout bucket and using standard configured equipment requiring no additional attachments.

Base machine to be in continuous production & distribution for which published specifications are readily available.

Excavator shall have a min. 69 net horsepower Tier 4 Final Diesel engine at 2,400 rpm, digging bucket and have the ability to install a mechanical or hydraulic thumb to the arm.

Delivery Time: Seven (07) calendar days after notice of formal acceptance of bid by owner after council approval

Pre-Bid Meeting: No Prebid Meeting/Conference Required

Sealed bids will be received in accordance with the Instruction to Bidders, Louisiana Public Bid Law and the Bid Proposal Form. Bids shall be accepted only from firms and/or vendors who are qualified by the State of Louisiana for the lease and sale of specified equipment. Only a bona fide sealed bid will be considered at opening time, bids received after closing time will be returned unopened. Sealed bids may be hand carried or mailed to the address listed above.

In accordance with Louisiana RS 38:2212, vendors may submit their bid electronically at www.centralauctionhouse.com. Specifications are available by electronic means. The web site is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Vendors submitting bids electronically are required to provide the same documents as vendors submitting through the mail or by hand delivery. Regardless of the bid results, the vendor will have 48 hours from opening of the bids to provide the St. Martin Parish Government the original documents. If a vendor fails to provide the original hard copies of these documents within 48 hours of the bid opening, their bid shall be considered nonresponsive.

Bidders will be required to provide Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond of a sum not less than 5 percent of the Bid Amount plus all additive alternates. Bid Bond must be written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana and payable to St. Martin Parish Government.

No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of all bids. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bidsand to waive any informalities incidental thereto.
