RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED, that the following millage(s) are hereby levied on the 2026 tax roll on all property subject to taxation by Assumption School District:
MILLAGE
School District Regular            5.49 mills
School District No 1                  6.12 mills
School District No 1                20.81 mills
School District No 1                   6.97 mills
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper administrative officials of the Parish of Assumption, State of Louisiana, be and they are hereby empowered, authorized, and directed to spread said taxes, as hereinabove set forth, upon the assessment roll of said Parish for the year 2026, and to make the collection of the taxes imposed for and on behalf of the taxing authority, according to law, and that the taxes herein levied shall become a permanent lien and privilege on all property subject to taxation as herein set forth, and collection thereof shall be enforceable in the manner provided by law.
The foregoing resolution was read in full, the roll was called on the adoption thereof, and the resolution was adopted by the following votes:

Receive April 2026 Sales & Use Tax Report

The Board received the April 2026 Sales Tax Report. Total returns processed are 4,107; 3,049 monthly, 256 quarterly, 780 irregular, and 22 semi-annuals.  The total number of online filers is 3,610.  Total receipts from the April 2026 collections are $1,717,364.89; a 6% increase of $93,792.28.  The school board received $853,617.99; a 6% increase of $46,476.79.  The 92 Bond Issue Fund received $170,723.40, a 6% increase of $9,295.32.  The delinquent rate for the month of April 2026 is 24%.  Audit revenues for the month of April 2026 are $0.00 comparable to $0.00 for April 2025.  Auto sales for the month of April 2026 are $277,230.40 comparable to $317,328.05 for April

2025.

Approve Change Order No. 2 for the Project known as Bayou L’Ourse Elementary School Security and Drainage Improvement

Comments and Announcements (Board Members / Administration)

Mrs. Barras wished all teachers and students a happy summer.
Mrs. Hood commented on what an honor it was for her to participate in Assumption High School’s beautiful graduation ceremony.
Mr. Hebert informed the Board that AFTA donated over $23,000.00 to purchase four new sousaphones for the Assumption High School music program.
