1. Call to Order
Board President, Mrs. Bambi Hood, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.

The Board received information on Head Start CLASS monitoring results from Rachel Dugas, Director of Elementary Education and Early Childhood.
E. Receive Information on Early Childhood Enrollment Trends from 2020-2025
The Board received information on Early Childhood enrollment trends from 2020-2025 from Rachel Dugas, Director of Elementary Education and Early Childhood.
F. Receive Head Start Director’s Report
The Board received the Head Start director’s report.
5. Policies, Procedures, and Resolutions
A. Authorize the Superintendent to Advertise for the Official Journal for the 2026-2027 Fiscal Year

The Board authorized the Superintendent to advertise for the official journal for the 2026-2027 fiscal year.
B. Discussion of Proposed Committees of the Assumption Parish School Board
Mr. Hebert discussed the proposed committees of the Assumption Parish School Board which included committee makeup and scope and proposed meetings through August 2026.
6. Budget
A. Receive Information on Adopting Current Millage Rates
The Board received information on adopting the current millage rates.
B. Authorize the Superintendent to Advertise for Food, Paper Goods, Fresh Produce, Cleaning Supplies/Chemicals, and Milk for the Period of July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027

The Board authorized the Superintendent to advertise for food, paper goods, fresh produce, cleaning supplies/chemicals, and milk for the period of July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
C. Review and Accept Finance Committee Recommendation to Schedule a Vote to Accept or Reject LEAN Frog Proposed Salary Schedule Adjustment
A public comment period was held. No public comment was heard.

The Board approved the Finance Committee recommendation to schedule a vote to accept or reject the LEAN Frog proposed salary schedule adjustment at the May 20, 2026 board meeting.

A. Approve Change Order No. 5 for the Project known as the Assumption High School Building Repainting

The Board approved Change Order No. 5 for the project known as the Assumption High School Building Repainting in the amount of $0.00.
B Receive Update on the Labadieville Middle School Sewer Plant Replacement Project
The Board received an update on the Labadieville Middle School Sewer Plant Replacement Project from Robert Utley with Castagnos Goodwin Utley Engineers, L.L.C.
8. Comments and Announcements (Board Members / Administration)
Mrs. Barras wished the teachers a Happy Teacher’s Appreciation Week and the nurses a Happy Nurse’s Appreciation Week.
Mrs. Hood recognized the AHS tennis team and AHS fishing team for an outstanding season.
Mrs. Hood congratulated the Educators Rising and Student Athlete signees.
Mr. Hebert congratulated the Elementary, Academy, and AHS Bands on a successful Spring Concert.
