Discussion of the 250th Birthday of United States of America- Alderman Jamie Huval, Alderwoman Virginia LeCompte.
Alderman Jamie Huval started by saying he and Alderwoman Virginia LeCompte had ideas about a family day type of event for the 250th Birthday of America. Having a fireworks display, baking contest, food trucks, snowball truck were just a few suggestions made to make this day fun and memorable for all. Getting a friendly baseball game between different departments was another fun idea.
Getting the school band involved, Tug of war and such games. Everyone agrees this would be a great idea. Having Veterans involved in reading the Declaration of Independence.
