TOWN OF OBERLIN

MEETING August 11, 2025

This is a notice of a meeting for the Town Council of Oberlin, Louisiana that was held on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 6:00 P.M., at the Community Center at 205 Martin Luther King Dr. in Oberlin, La., 70655 for the purpose of considering the following agenda items:

1. Call meeting to order

2. Pledge of Allegiance

3. Roll call- All Council & Mayor present

4. Hear from the public on any agenda items as per statute. (3 MIN limit)- No comment

5. MayorÕs report

a. Maintenance- Several leaks happening around town, the guys are doing their best with keeping up with the grass.

b. Finance

i. Bills- A handout was given to the council members of a Profit and loss statement for the month of July by class.

ii. Grants

Sidewalk project- A new contractor has taken over the project, a sample of the cement used has to go through a series of test that takes about 30 days and they will be able to get started. This project will have to be finished by the end of the year.

Street Project- Awaiting on a go ahead on the contract to be reviewed and approved. The priority order is 7th Ave, MLK, N 1st ST & 4th Ave.

Clearance Program- Pan American has a pre-construction meeting on tomorrow at 2:00 PM and the contractors can get started the next day.

6. Consent Agenda

6.1 Approval of Minutes from regular council meeting of July 14th, 2025.

6.2 Approve payment of bills as approved by Mayor and Finance Committee.
