NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
Notice is hereby given that the Ascension Parish Council will meet as a Board of Review on Thursday. September 18, 2025 at 6:00 p.m.at the Ascension Parish Council Chambers, Ascension Parish Courthouse, 607 E. Worthey St., Gonzales, LA 70737, but if necessary the meeting could change to virtual, to consider any and all appeals filed by taxpayers regarding their 2025 property assessments.
The Board of Review shall hear the complaint of qualified persons as provided by RS 47:1992, who have provided a written appeal (Form 3101) to the Assessor either by appearing in-person, by means of certified mail with signature required, or by commercial mail with signature required. Taxpayer appeals must be received by the deadline of 5:00 p.m. on September 11, 2025. The Assessor shall forward any active appeals to the Board of Review no later than seven (7) days prior to the public hearing.
PLEASE NOTE: You must submit all information concerning the value of your property to the Assessor's office before the deadline for filing an appeal with the Board of Review. The failure to submit such information may prevent you from relying on that information should you protest your value.
