Minutes of a regular meeting of the Vermilion Parish Police Jury held on May 21, 2025, with Vice-President Chad Vallo presiding.
The meeting was called to order by Vice-President Chad Vallo, who asked Shane Meaux to lead the group in the Pledge of Allegiance. Following the pledge, the Vice-President asked Mr. Paul Moresi, III for a moment of prayer or reflection. The Vice-President then reminded all present to turn all cell phones, pagers, etc. off or set to silent mode for the duration of the Police Jury Meeting.

BE IT RESOLVED, by the Vermilion Parish Police Jury of the Parish of Vermilion, Louisiana, in a public meeting held on May 21, 2025, which meeting was conducted in accordance with the Open Meetings Law and the additional requirements of Article VII, Section 23(C) of the Louisiana Constitution and R.S. 47:1705(B), that the following adjusted millage rates be and they are hereby levied upon the dollar of the assessed valuation of all property subject to ad valorem taxation within said Parish for the year 2025, for the purpose of raising revenue:

• Provided to the Police Jurors is the Statement of Operations prior monthly budget-to-actual comparisons for all of the major funds of the Vermilion Parish Police Jury.
Upon motion by Mr. Errol Domingues, duly seconded by Mr. Scott Broussard, and unanimously carried, the Police Jury approved the automatic doors at the Courthouse ($20,400.00).
Upon motion by Mr. Shane Meaux, duly seconded by Mr. Brent Landry, and unanimously carried, the Police Jury approved the Capital Area Finance Authority Resolution.
Upon motion by Mr. Ronald Menard, duly seconded by Mr. Dane Hebert, and unanimously carried, the Police Jury approved the St. Mary Community Action Agency 5311 Report for the month of April 2025.
