APPLICATION

The Lake Charles Housing Authority is sponsoring an application for 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits through the Louisiana Housing Corporation in its 2025 application cycle. The application will be for the new construction of The Oaks I at Mid-City, a development of 55 units in two- and three-story buildings for families located in the 2900 block of Creole Street in Lake Charles. The project Owner is The Oaks I at Mid-City, LP. The total development cost of $17.8 million is funded with $12.3 million in investor equity from the sale of Low-Income Housing Tax Credits; $3.2 million in first mortgage financing, and $2.3 million from Lake Charles Housing Authority.
