DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT FOR

PROPOSED EXPANSION OF BREEDING RUNS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA LAFAYETTE NEW IBERIA RESEARCH CENTER

IBERIA PARISH, LOUISIANA

The public is hereby notified of the availability of a Draft Environmental Assessment (EA) prepared by the National Institutes of Health (NIH). The Draft EA addresses the proposed construction and operation of two additional non-human primate housing buildings at the New Iberia Research Center, Iberia Parish, Louisiana.

The Draft EA will be available for review at the Iberia Parish Library (Main Branch), 445 E. Main St., New Iberia, LA 70560. The Draft EA and FONSI are also available for download from the NIH website (https://nems.nih.gov/NEPA/Pages/default.aspx). The public comment period for the Draft EA ends on May 25, 2025.
