Notice to Aerial

Pesticide Applicators and Private Individuals.

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury Mosquito Control intends to solicit assistance from the Department of Defenses Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) program. The assistance will include the application of public health pesticides via aerial application over portions of Cameron, Calcasieu, Iberia and Vermilion Parishes to include Abbeville, Creole, Lake Charles and New Iberia, Louisiana. There is no funding for these operations without the assistance of the USAFR unit. The spraying dates are expected to be during the month of September 2025. Aerial applicators or private individuals who have questions or who wish to voice opposition to military assistance for this project may contact, Nathan Areno, Director of Public Health Services, or via email at nareno@calcasieu.gov, no later than fourteen days (14) days after publication of this notice. Persons not filing comments within the time frame noted will be considered to have waived their objections to military assistance for this project. (Publication dates, 2025)
