Audubon Commission invites bids from licensed general contractors or contractors with a specialty license in fencing to provide fencing in the direct aftermath of a Tropical System or Hurricane for all Audubon Nature Institute Facilities; Audubon Zoo & Park, Species Survival Center & Wilderness Park, and Audubon Louisiana Nature Center.

Successful Bidder(s) shall provide post disaster services required for disaster fence work to remove damaged fencing, temporarily secure existing fencing, and purchase and install new fencing. This procurement is subject to CFR 2 Part 200 and Louisiana Public Bid Law, Title 38. Bids must be submitted at or before May 23, 2025, at 10:00 am. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes marked Post-Disaster Fencing. Bidders shall supply one (1) original bid either hard copy or electronically. Bids must be submitted at the following location: Audubon Nature Institute, Procurement & Risk Management Department, Attention: Cecilie H. Primeaux, 6500 Magazine Street, New Orleans, La. 70118 or sent UPS, FedEx, USPS at or before date and time specified. Bids may be submitted electronically through https://www.bidnetdirect.com/louisiana/audubonnatureinstitute It is the vendors responsibility to contact Bid Net well in advance of bid opening date if the bid will be submitted electronically to establish an account that will allow for secure bidding. Bids may not be faxed or emailed. A multi-year pre-event contract will be awarded, but no obligation shall exist until a Notice to Proceed is issued for the repair of damages caused by a natural disaster such as but not limited to a tropical storm or hurricane. Audubon reserves the right to award multiple contract(s) if it is deemed necessary and/or cost beneficial in mitigating the damages in a timely manner.
