ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
SEALED BIDS will be received by Homer Housing Authority, at 329 Oil Mill St., Homer, Louisiana 71040, until 11:00 A.M. May 1, 2025;at which time and place all bids conforming to the advertisement and specifications, will be publically opened and read aloud for the following Project: Bum Unit Repairs, Unit 919 Hudd Drive Project for the Homer Housing Authority.
Complete Bidding Documents prepared by James W. Dean Architect, LLC; may be obtained from ACE Digital, LLC, 1324 Youree Dr. Shreveport, LA 71101; phone (318) 220-8440 upon receipt of $75.00 for each set of documents. PRIME BIDDERS are required to obtain an original set of bidding documents. Deposit is fully refundable to all bonafide prime bidders (who submit a bid) upon return of the documents, in good condition no later than ten (10) days after receipt of bids. Subcontractors may obtain Construction Documents and receive 1/2 of deposit back under the conditions outlined above. Bidding documents will be available on or about April 1, 2025. Note: Louisiana Licensed Contractor required for this project with a major classification as Building Construction.
BID SECURITY equal to five percent (5%) of the Total Bid shall be in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check as prescribed by LA RS 38:2218.A, must be attached to and made a part of the bid. If a bid bond is provided it shall be on the provided form and only on the provided form. Bid bonds must be written by a qualified company licensed to do business in Louisiana.
The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in Louisiana in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount.
For this project, Liquidated Damages will apply in the amount of two hundred fifty ($250.00) per day for each consecutive calendar day which the work is not completed, beginning with the first day beyond the established completion date.
Attention is called to the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act for local prevailing wage rates, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries, wages and benefits as set forth in the Specifications must be paid on this project.
Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are appropriately licensed under La. R.S. 37:2150. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after actual date of the opening thereof.
The Homer Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids. The Housing Authority shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until the Contract between Owner and Contractor is fully executed.
A PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held on April 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM; at the Housing Authority office, 329 Oil Mill St., Homer, Louisiana. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged in order to assist the Bidders in preparing the Bid.
