Meeting Minutes

THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MAYOR AND BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE VILLAGE OF LOREAUVILLE, LOUISIANA, TAKEN AT THEIR REGULAR MEETING HELD ON MONDAY, MARCH 10th, 2025.

Present were Brad Clifton, Mayor; Alderman: Jay DeCourt, Lottie Frioux; Tibi B. Hebert, Clerk; also present were IP Sheriff Gunner, TJ Savoy, LVFD Chief Cameron Comeaux, IP Fire Chief Guy Bonin, Father Crochet.

It was moved by Mr. DeCourt, seconded by Ms. Frioux and carried to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the February 10th, 2025, meeting and to adopt them as written.

The Mayor approved a Proclamation recognizing the 2024-25 LHS Competitive Cheerleading Team and 2024-25 LHS Tigerette Dance Team. These teams were recognized and congratulated on their successful placements at Nationals in Orlando Florida.

Iberia Parish Fire Districts Fire Chief, Guy M Bonin, spoke to discuss and inform the board and meeting attendants about the Fire Districts millage in the upcoming election that will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025.

It was moved by Mr. DeCourt, seconded by Ms. Frioux to adopt Resolution #031024, created to adopt the Municipal Water Pollution Prevention Environmental Audit Report (Jan Dec 2024).

It was moved by Mr. DeCourt, seconded by Ms. Frioux and carried to approve Payment No. 6 in the amount of $137,220.85 to Minvielle Lumber Company, Inc. for the New Town Hall project.

It was moved by Mr. DeCourt, seconded by Ms. Frioux, and carried to approve Inv# 00344-10-2024 in the amount of $1633.86 for Paul Allain, architect for New Town Hall project.

The next regular meeting will be held on Monday, April 14th, 2025, beginning at 6:30 P.M. at the Old Loreauville Fire Station.

It was voted unanimous to adjourn. The meeting ended at 7:10 PM.
