ORDINANCE NO. 007 OF 2025

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY

OF NATCHITOCHES TO AWARD THE BID FOR WATER DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS (BREDA TOWN – PHASE 2)

(BID NO. 0672)

WHEREAS, Resolution No.002 of 2025 was passed by the Natchitoches City Council on January 13, 2025 authorizing the Mayor to advertise for bids Water Distribution System Improvements- Breda Town – Phase 2 (Bid No. 0672); and

WHEREAS, this bid was advertised in the Natchitoches Times on, January 16, January 23, and January 30, 2025 in accordance with law; and

WHEREAS, five bid proposals were received and opened as follows:

(2) ASB Utility Construction

WHEREAS, on February 24, 2025 the appointed committee of Clarissa Smith, Finance Director; Edd Lee, Director of Purchasing; Bukar Mohammed, Utility Department; and Rosemary Elie, Councilwoman, reviewed the bid proposals for Water Distribution System Improvements- Breda Town – Phase 2 (Bid No. 0672); and

WHEREAS, the above appointed committee members unanimously recommend the City award the bid to the lowest bidder CDE Construction, LLC in the amount of $601,554.20.
