INVITATION FOR BID
SEALED or ELECTRONIC BIDS, addressed to the Purchasing Agent for the City of Shreveport, must be received in the Purchasing Division, Government Plaza, Suite 610, 505 Travis Street, Shreveport, Louisiana 71101, not later than 2:00 p.m. on March 25, 2025. Shortly thereafter, bids will be publicly opened and announced in the Finance Departments Conference Room 690, Government Plaza, for the following engineering project.
This is a contractor/agent bid. All bidders shall bid without the sales/use tax included on purchases of materials, taxable services, and leases/rentals of tangible personal property.

The City of Shreveport in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d-d4 and Title 49, Code of FederalRegulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, part 21, Nondiscrimination in federally assisted programs of theDepartment of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered intopursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not bediscriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award.
An acceptable Bid Bond, Cashiers Check, or Certified Check payable to the City of Shreveport, in an amount not less than five (5%) percent of the bid,including additive alternates, must accompany the bid. Negotiable Bid Bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidder as soon as possible, or notmore than 45 days after the opening of bids. All bonds applicable to this transaction must be accompanied by an original Power of Attorney. Anacceptable Performance Bond equal to 100% of the amount of the contract and a 50% Payment Bond and 10% two-year Maintenance Bond will berequired of the successful bidder. The lowest responsible and responsive bidder will be requested to adhere to the Citys Fair Sharerequirements.
On any bid submitted in the amount of $50,000 or more, the Contractor shall certify that he or she is licensed under Louisiana Revised Statute 37:2150et seq. and show his/her license number in the bid and on the envelope or in the designated place in the electronic bid. The licensee shall not bepermitted to bid or perform any type or types of work not included in the classification under which his/her license was issued. The bidders attention is called to the Equal Opportunity Clause set forth in the bid documents. Before the contract is awarded the contractor shall pay all taxes, licenses, fees,and other charges which are outstanding and due to the City. The City of Shreveport reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids for just cause.
