NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC
NOTICE is hereby given that the Bossier City-Parish Metropolitan Planning Commission
will hold a public hearing on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the City
Council Chambers of Bossier City Hall, 620 Benton Road, Bossier City, Louisiana, for
the purpose of considering the following amendments to Ordinance 133 of 2018 of the
City of Bossier City and Ordinance 4705 of 2018 of the Parish Code of Bossier Parish:
A Public Hearing for the following:
The application of Laith Almadrahi, L&A Convenience INC., requesting a Conditional Use Approval for the sale of high and low content alcohol for off premise consumption at a convenience store, located at 4970 Barksdale Blvd. Suite 500 and 600, Bossier City, Louisiana. (City Council district 1) (Police Jury district 12)
The application of Matt Peterson, Estacada Interests for Kristie Sheffield, for a Zoning Amendment to change the zoning classification of a certain tract of land being 1.227 acres, more or less, from R-LD (Residential Low Density) to B-3 (General Business), located at 1819 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana for a proposed (Murphy) convenience store with fuel sales. (Located at the southwest intersection of Old Minden Road and Airline Drive) (City Council District 3) (Police Jury District 9) more fully described as follows:
A certain piece, parcel or tract of land including all improvements, rights, ways, and privileges located in Section 27, Township 18 North, Range 13 West, Northwestern Land District, Bossier City, Bossier Parish, Louisiana, being more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
Commencing at the intersection of the southern right of way of Old Minden Road (LA Hwy 72) and the eastern right of way of Jacquelyn Street, being marked by a found LDOTD aluminum cap, being the POINT OF COMMENCEMENT;
From the POINT OF COMMENCEMENT, proceed along the southern right of way line of Old Minden Road, North 73 degrees 07 minutes 00 seconds East a distance of 478.02 feet to a set 1/2” iron rod, and also being the POINT OF BEGINNING;
From the POINT OF BEGINNING, continue along the southern right of way line of Old Minden Road, North 73 degrees 07 minutes 00 seconds East a distance of 78.19 feet to a found 5/8” iron rod;
Thence continue along the southern right of way line of Old Minden Road, North 73 degrees 07 minutes 00 seconds East a distance of 197.97 feet to a found “X” in concrete located on the western right of way of Airline Drive (LA Hwy 3105);
Thence proceed along the western right of way line of Airline Drive along an arc of a curve having a radius of 25.00 feet, arc length of 16.11 feet, bearing a chord of South 33 degrees 06 minutes 43 seconds East, 15.83 feet to a found “X” in concrete;
Thence proceed along the western right of way line of Airline Drive, South 15 degrees 19 minutes 45 seconds East a distance of 177.03 feet to a found “Punch Hole” in concrete;
Thence proceed South 73 degrees 07 minutes 26 seconds West a distance of 275.53 feet along the northern line of Coleman Park Subdivision to a point being monumented by a set 1/2” iron rod located North 16 degrees 57 minutes 36 seconds West a distance of 5.00 feet from said point;
Thence proceed North 16 degrees 57 minutes 36 seconds West a distance of 192.13 feet back to the POINT OF BEGINNING;
The above described tract contains 1.227 acres more or less
The application of Wesley Miller, Ram Engineering LLC for Murphy Oil USA, Inc., requesting a Conditional Use Approval for placement of a 44.13’x 65.17’ modular building, located at 1819 Airline Drive, Bossier City, Louisiana for a proposed convenience store with fuel sales. (Located at the southwest intersection of Old Minden Road and Airline Drive) (City Council District 3)(Police Jury District 9).
The application of JD Land Development LLC, for a Preliminary Plat, Marlena Park Subdivision Unit 2, being 7.322 acres more or less, located in Section 14, Township 18 North, Range 13 West, Bossier Parish, Louisiana. (City Council District 5) (Police Jury District 7)
The application of Yellow Rose Land Development LLC, for a Preliminary Plat, Canes Landing Subdivision Unit No.5, being 18.017 acres more or less, located in Section 34, Township 19 North, Range 13 West, Bossier Parish, Louisiana. (Located northwest of Wemple Road) (Police Jury District 6)
The application of LP Development LLC, for a Preliminary Plat, Edgewater Pass Unit No.1 Phase 3, being 5.543 acres more or less, located in Section 22, Township 19 North, Range 13 West, Bossier Parish, Louisiana. (southeast corner of Marlena street and St. Lucy Street) (Police Jury District 5)
The application of E & L Development requesting a Planned Unit Development, being 9.24 acres, more or less, The Ascent on 80 Phase 2, located at 4654 Highway 80, also located in Section 14, Township 18 North, Range 12 West, Bossier Parish, Louisiana. (southwest of Wafer Road) (Police Jury District 2)
Adopt a Resolution to enforce and implement participation in open meetings in accordance with Act 393 of 2023 as amended by L.A. R.S. 42:17.2.1.
