OAKDALE HOUSING AUTHORITY
MEETING
JANUARY 7, 2025
Minutes of the meeting of the Oakdale Housing Authority. On the 7th day of January, 2025 at 5:30p.m. commissioners met in a Special/Regular Session. The meeting was call to order and on roll call the following members of the body were present:
MESSERS: Dr. Charles Vidrine, Dr. R. E. Bacon, Isaac Rhines and Joyce Johnson.
ABSENT: Michelle Snell
Also, present were Tina Guillory, Executive Director
The Chairman, Dr. Vidrine, ordered that the following Waiver and Consent be spread upon the minutes.
WAIVER OF NOTICE OF AND CONSENT TO SPECIAL MEETING
We, the undersigned do hereby accept notice of this Regular/Special Meeting, waiving and all irregularities in the service of notice and do hereby consent and agree that the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Oakdale, Louisiana, shall meet at their regular meeting place at 5:30 p.m. on the 7th day of January 2025, for the following purposes:
1. Hire general contractor for the 2023 CFP grant
2. Adopt lease for public housing low rent program
To transact any other business that may come before the meeting.

There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted.
RESOLUTION NO. 2082
WHEREAS THERE IS A NEED, for the Board of Commissioners to approve to hire a general contractor for the 2023 Capital Fund Program grant.
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Board of Commissioners has approved to hire E.L. Habetz Builders, Inc. as the general contractor for the 2023 Capital Fund Program grant.
After discussion Commissioner Vidrine moved that the resolution be adopted as introduced and read. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Johnson and on roll call the following vote was recorded:
A YES: Vidrine, Johnson, Rhines, and Bacon
NAYS: None
The Chairman thereupon declared the motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO. 2083
WHEREAS THERE IS A NEED, for the Board of Commissioners to adopt the lease for the low rent public housing program with the effective date retro to January 1, 2025.
BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Board of Commissioners has approved the lease for the low rent public housing program with the effective date retro to January 1, 2025.
After discussion Commissioner Bacon moved that the resolution be adopted as introduced and read. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Rhines and on roll call the following vote was recorded:
AYES: Bacon, Johnson, Rhines, Vidrine
NAYS: None
The Chairman thereupon declared the motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the meeting Commissioner Johnson moved that the meeting be adjourn, which motion was duly seconded by Commissioners Bacon and carried by unanimous vote.
The Chairman thereupon declared the meeting adjourned.
