Monthly Meeting
Minutes
The Village of Tickfaw Council met in a monthly meeting at 5:00pm on November 12, 2024. Mayor Lamonte called the meeting to order, Councilman Fedele, Councilman Galofaro, Councilman Lemay, Chief DiBenedetto, and Attorney Trippi all were present. All present received and reviewed the monthly financial statements. The invocation was done by Mayor Lamonte followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
1. Planning & Zoning- Darlean Cook was Approved by zoning board and Council with a
motion to approve by
Councilman Galofaro and Seconded by Councilman Fedele with 3 votes.
2. Public Input- NONE
3. Approve monthly meeting minutes for October 08, 2024.

4. Old Business-
Dorothy Lane Matter- Nothing new on this matter
- Tabled for next meeting 12/10/2024 at 5pm

b.) Church on Bridge St. The First Lady of Mt. Kingdom Church addressed the council, stating that they would like to fix it up and make it a historical building. She also said that an inspector was supposed to go to the
location to assess the building and give a list of things that could be fixed.
Motion was made to get an inspector by Councilman Lemay, Seconded by Councilman
Galofaro, Votes
(3) and the council will reassess at the January monthly Council Meeting.
5. New Business-
a.) Audit- Megan with James, Lambert, Riggs and Associates addressed the council with
reports on the audit and its
findings. All findings will be
submitted to the Louisiana
Legislators website and are
available for viewing. The Village of Tickfaw will work on correcting the findings addressed in the
meeting.
B.) Speed Limit Signs on Bosco The council made a motion to change speed limit signs on Bosco and Sparacello to 15 mph the entire length of the road.
Motion by Lemay, Seconded by Galofaro and votes 3

6. Public Safety-

- October Calls for Service: 56 including medical calls, civil and assisting other agencies.
7. Attorney Report- Attorney Trippi - NONE
8. Council report-
The council wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and please pray for Tony Calderone.
9. Mayor Report-
Mayor Lamonte
- Mayor thanked everyone for their work on the audit. The
mayor talked about more grants and
project coming soon.
