Town of Sarepta

AMENDMENT NO. 7 TO ORDINANCE NO.396 REVISEDAMENDING SEWER RATES AND DEPOSITS

TOWN OF SAREPTA

It is hereby ordained to amend Ordinance No. 396 amending said sewer disposal rates of the Town of Sarepta as follows:

1. $40.00 per month for a single-­family residence.

2. $65.00 per month for a public or commercial structure.

a. A public or commercial structure having an average annual water usage of less than 10,000 gallons per month shall be charged the same rate as a residential location.

b. Reduction rate is conditional upon receiving certified proof from the Sarepta Waterworks District for verification of usage.

c. The Town of Sarepta reserves the right to audit and/or request updated verification of usage.

3. $110.00 per month for a public or commercial structure having a regular daily occupancy of in excess of fifty (50) persons but not less than one hundred fifty (150) persons.

4. $160.00 per month for a public or commercial structure having a regular daily occupancy in excess of one hundred fifty (150) persons.

5. A nonrefundable connection fee in the amount of $25.00 shall be paid upon opening any sewer account. The sewer department shall keep this fee upon disconnection of the account.

6. The sewer deposit required for city sewer service shall be $75.00. Such deposit shall be refunded to the customer after disconnection and after a determination has been made that such customer owes no outstanding balance on any bill due to the city.

7. These changes will be effective starting with the February 1,2023 billing.

8. A late fee in the amount of $10 will be added to unpaid accounts on the 21st of each month.

9. RV PARKS THAT ARE RAN AS A FOR-PROFIT BUSINESS WILL BE CHARGED A BASE BUSINESS RATE OF $65 PLUS $25 PER10 LOTS OFFERED.

This ordinance amends all existing ordinances currently in effect concerning waste water disposal rates in effect as of the date of adoption of this instance ordinance and shall solely control all waste water disposal rates.

This ordinance was adopted on a motion made by Nelda Hines and seconded by Mike Corley this 14th day in November, 2024 and when called to a vote motion carried as follows:
