MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE SORRENTO PLANNING COMMISSION, ACTING AS THE SORRENTO ZONING COMMISSION, AND THE SORRENTO BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2024, 6:30 P.M., SORRENTO COMMUNITY CENTER, SORRENTO, LOUISIANA.

Those present:

Chairman: Brent Alonzo

Commissioners: Jaimie Reeves, Juanita Tillison, Kenneth Saucier, William Eddy

Secretary: Kay Prado

Absent: None

Motion made by Commissioner Kenneth Saucier and seconded by Commissioner Juanita Tillison to approve the minutes of the regular meeting July 2, 2024, and canceled meetings, August 6, September 3 & October 1, 2024. Motion carried.

Vote as follows:

YEAS: Kenneth Saucier, Jaimie Reeves ABSENT: None

William Eddy, Juanita Tillison, Brent Alonzo

NAYS: None

Motion made by Commissioner Kenneth Saucier and seconded by Commissioner Brent Alonzo to make a recommendation to the Mayor and Council to approve the concept plans for Orange Grove Phase 2; First, Second, Third, Fourth & Fifth Filings submitted by Quality Engineering & Surveying, LLC on behalf of Capitol Development Group Rental. The proposed subdivision is located on Hwy. 22 on the southeast corner of Hwy 22 and Panama Rd. and is zoned Medium Intensity (RM) with the following contingency:

1. The $100,000.00 debt owed to the Town of Sorrento, $50,000 for Fire and $50,000 for Police Protection, is to be settled before Construction Plans and Final Plat will be signed by Mayor.

Motion carried.
