The following Ordinance was Introduced by Mr. Petite at the October 28, 2024 City Council meeting as follows:

ORDINANCE NO. 031 OF 2024

AN ORDINANCE

AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY

OF NATCHITOCHES TO AWARD THE BID TO REPLACE AIRFIELD

SIGNAGE AND LIGHTS AT THE NATCHITOCHES REGIONAL AIRPORT

STATE PROJECT NO. H.015676

(BID NO. 0670)

WHEREAS, Resolution No.082 of 2024 was passed by the Natchitoches City Council on September 9, 2024 authorizing the Mayor to advertise for bids to replace Airfield Signage and Lights at the Natchitoches Regional Airport (Bid No. 0670); and

WHEREAS, this bid was advertised in the Natchitoches Times on, September 12, September 19, and September 26, 2024 in accordance with law; and

WHEREAS, four bid proposals were received and opened as follows:

(1) F&W Electric Contractors, Inc.,

Floresville, TX $425,000.00

(2) Ernest P. Breaux Electrical, LLC

New Iberia, LA................................. $430,865.00

(3) EMS Electric of Monroe, LLC

West Monroe, LA $432,131.25

(4) Wilhite Electric Co. Inc.

Bossier City, LA.................................$432,883.75

WHEREAS, on October 17, 2024 the appointed committee of Clarissa Smith, Finance Director; Edd Lee, Director of Purchasing; Justin Foshee, Airport Manager, Utility Director; and Dale Nielsen, Councilman, reviewed the bid proposals to replace Airfield Signage and Lights at the Natchitoches Regional Airport (Bid No. 0670); and

WHEREAS, the above appointed committee members unanimously recommend the City award the bid to the lowest bidder F&W Electric Contractors, Inc., in the amount of $425,000.00.
