PROCEEDING
The Mayor and Council of the Town of New Llano, Louisiana, met at 7:00 P.M. on October 22nd, 2024 in Regular Session. Councilwoman Poteat led the pledge and Councilman Wilson gave the invocation. The roll revealed the following:

Mayor Todd welcomed everyone to the meeting.
A motion was made by Councilwoman Poteat seconded by Councilman Wilson to approve the financial statements for September 2024. The vote was as unanimous.
A motion was made by Councilman Speicher seconded by Councilwoman Lavender to approve the minutes from the regular council meeting on September 24th, 2024. The vote was unanimous.
A motion was made by Councilman Wilson and seconded by Councilwoman Poteat to approve the bid from J. J. Merchant for $1,577.77 for a 2013 Dodge Charger (Vin 9973) where the minimum bid was $1,500. The vote was unanimous.
A motion was made by Councilman Speicher and seconded by Councilwoman Lavender to move the November 2024 council meeting to November 19th, 2024 due to the Thanksgiving holidays. The vote was unanimous.
A motion was made by Councilman Wilson and seconded by Councilwoman Poteat to move the December meeting to December 17th, 2024 due to the Christmas holidays. The vote was unanimous.
A motion was made by Councilman Speicher and seconded by Councilwoman Poteat to hire Sandra Clasen as a full-time dispatcher at a rate of $10.00 starting October 30th, 2024. The vote was unanimous.
A motion was made by Councilwoman Poteat and seconded by Councilwoman Lavender to accept the Safety Equipment Grant from The Spirit of Blue Foundation for $31,699.50 which will furnish 4 computers, keyboards, docking stations and power supplies for the police vehicles and to authorize the police department to purchase the software needed. The vote was unanimous.
A motion was made by Councilman Speicher and seconded by Councilwoman Lavender to approve Resolution 9 of 2024, a resolution where the Town of New Llano commits to pay all engineering, administrative, and construction cost for the for the Storm Drainage project outside of the $286,500 that the state if funding that will go towards construction only. The vote was unanimous.
A motion to adjourn was made by Councilman Wilson and seconded by Councilman Poteat. The vote was unanimous.
