PUBLIC NOTICE
Sealed Bids for the YCP B21 Barracks Renovations, Gillis Long Center, 5445 Point Claire RD, Carville, LA 70721 will be received at the Gillis Long, Building 10, 2nd Floor Conference Room, 5445 Point Claire Rd. Carville La 70721, until 10:00 a.m. CT on Thursday, November 21, 2024, and immediately opened thereafter.
ANY PERSON REQUIRING SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS SHALL NOTIFY ELLIOTT GRISSOM OF THE TYPE(S) OF ACCOMMODATION REQUIRED NOT LESS THAN SEVEN (7) DAYS BEFORE THE BID OPENING.
Complete Bid Documents for this project are available in electronic form. They may be obtained without charge and without deposit from FUSION Architects: biddocs@fusionapc.com. Printed copies are not available from the Designer, but arrangements can be made to obtain them through most reprographic firms. Plan holders are responsible for their own reproduction costs. A Mandatory Pre-Bid conference and site visit is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. CT on, Wednesday, November 06, 2024, at the Gillis Long, Building 10, 2nd Floor Conference Room, 5445 Point Claire Rd. Carville La 70721. Attendance at this Conference is mandatory. Prospective bidders must attend the entire mandatory Pre-Bid conference in order to submit a bid. BIDS SHALL BE ACCEPTED ONLY FROM CONTRACTORS THAT ATTEND THE ENTIRE MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE.

All Bids must be accompanied by Bid Security equal to five percent (5%) of the Base Bid and Additional Bid Items (ABI) and must be in the form of a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond.
Bids shall be accepted from Contractors who are licensed under LA. R.S. 37:2150-2192 for the classification of BUILDING CONSTRUCTION. Bidder is required to comply with provisions and requirements of LA R.S. 38:2212(B)(5).
The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and Payment Bond written by a company licensed to do business in the State of Louisiana, equal to 100% of the Contract amount, including Additional Bid Items (ABI), if required.
No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after receipt of Bids except under the provisions of LA R.S. 38:2214.
Electronic Bid Documents may be submitted by Contractors to the Construction & Facilities Management Office by submitting their bid along with their bid security to https://www.centralauctionhouse.com/. Electronic bids must be submitted so as to be posted prior to 10:00 a.m. CT on Thursday, November 21, 2024. Contractors MUST attend the mandatory Pre-Bid conference scheduled for 10:00 a.m. CT on, Wednesday, November 06, 2024 at the listed above location in order to submit a bid.
The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all Bids for just cause. In accordance with directives and guidance published by Facility Planning and Control, the Louisiana Revised Statutes, the provisions and requirements of those stated in the advertisement for bids and those required on the bid form shall not be waivered. The Louisiana Military Department Deputy Director for Contracting and Purchasing and the State Contracting Officer do not possess authority to waive any informality incidental thereto. The Owner shall incur no obligation to the Contractor until the Contract between Owner and Contractor is fully executed.
