Town of Delcambre regular session convened at 6:00 p.m. on October 14, 2024 at the City Hall, with Mayor Pam Blakely, presiding.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

DISCUSSION: Wendell Verret with Twin Parish Port advised that they should be receiving bids on Dwight’s Restaurant within the next two ½ months
DISCUSSION: Twin Parish Port Ordinance for Police Dept. to regulate will be tabled until Police Dept., Wendell Verret and Attorney Gabe Duhon can get together to review Ordinances
DISCUSSION: Attorney Gabe Duhon advised that the Town does not own any property at boat work area on Richard Street. All the property is owned by Twin Parish Port. 2011 Intergovernmental Agreement and Conveyance was signed property dimensions 50 X 250 feet.
MOTION: Introduced by Alderman Bryan Glatter and seconded by Alderman Steve Broussard “moved to approve CPA Christy Dunn Presentation of the Budget Committee Report Plan pertaining to the Water Sector Grant.” Motion Carried:
Approved the recommendations of the budget committee:
The Town move to a consumption-based rate for sewer usage.
The Town create an investment account for Sewer Maintenance and Repairs Reserve to and designate strictly for sewer line maintenance and repairs.
Beginning on January 1, 2025, deposit $12,975 monthly into investment account until debt repayment begins, then amount reduced by debt payment each month.
The difference between the revenue generated by the current flat rate of $35.50 per customer and the new consumption-based rate adopted will be deposited into this account.
Amount currently in the ARPA LAMP account $500,000 is moved to restricted investment account.
Recommendation to leave Town match at $500,000 for sewer project.

MOTION: Introduced by Alderman Steve Broussard and second by Alderman Chris” Tipper” Esponge” moved to approve Introduce Ordinance 2024-11 an Ordinance authorizing Sewer Rate increases by the Town of Delcambre, State of Louisiana; and providing for other matters in connection therewith. First 3,000 gallons $35.50, each addition 1,000 gallons used or portion thereof will be $2.90 per 1,000 gallons used per month.” Motion Carried: Public Hearing November 11, 2024
MOTION: Introduced by Alderman Chris “Tipper and second by Alderman Steve Broussard “moved to Introduce Ordinance 2024-10 an Ordinance authorizing the Assurance by the Town of Delcambre, State of Louisiana its Taxable Sewer Revenue Bond (DEQ) in an amount not to exceed three million dollars ($3,000,000) and providing for other matters in connection therewith.” Public Hearing November 11, 2024. Motion Carried:
MOTION: Introduced by Alderman Steve Broussard and seconded by Alderman Chris “Tipper” Esponge “moved to approve hardship request for Ruth Pitre to move Mobile Home to 405 Wilfred Landry.” Motion Carried:
MOTION: Introduced by Alderman Bryan Glatter and second by Alderman Steve Broussard “moved to approve to Partial Payment No.2, $141,780.40 to Garden City for Walking Trail in which they are 97% complete. Once complete, will request reimbursement from State.” Motion Carried:
MOTION: Introduced by Alderman Chris “Tipper” Esponge and second by Alderman Steve Broussard “moved to approve $875.95 to repair old Side by Side.” Motion Carried:
DISCUSSION: Alderman Steve Broussard advised to get prices on doors and a windshield for the Side by Sides.
