REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The City of Abbeville is interested in procuring the services of a Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality Accredited Asbestos Inspector to inspect structures for possible asbestos containing materials, provide a report on each unit, and potentially assist the City with the inspection of the removal of asbestos containing materials by a third-party Contractor. The City has received a Fiscal Year 2023 Louisiana Community Development Block Grant for a Clearance Program.

The procedures for the selection of this firm will be in accordance with the federal procurement requirements. All responses received will be evaluated in accordance with the selection criteria and corresponding point system that is identified in the Request for Proposals for an Accredited Asbestos Inspector for the City of Abbeville’s LCDBG Clearance Program. The package also provides a detailed scope of services to be performed by the selected firm. The City will award a contract to the respondent obtaining the highest score in the evaluation process.

A response to this request must be hand-delivered or mailed to Mayor Roslyn R. White at the above-named address in such a manner that it is received no later than noon on Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
