Public Notice

In accordance with Chapter 13 (Junk and Abandoned Vehicles) of the Code of Ordinances of the Parish of Calcasieu, Louisiana, it shall be unlawful for any person to cause or maintain a public nuisance by wrecking, dismantling, abandoning or discarding any junked item on the real property of another, or to suffer, permit or allow any junked item to be parked, left or maintained on his own real property.

If the property owner(s) listed below should fail to remove the following junked item(s) from the described property by July 4, 2024, the Police Jury shall proceed as authorized by the aforementioned parish ordinances. In the event the public nuisance is not abated in compliance with the ordinances and no hearing has been requested in writing by the expiration date, the parish Police Jury may enter the premises in question and remove or cause to be removed the junk items. All related costs for abatement will be assessed to the owner(s). Should the owner(s) fail to pay the fees, a lien and privilege will be filed against the property and shall be added to the next ad valorem tax bill.
