NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC

I, RENEE P. DEVILLE, duly qualified and acting Clerk of the City of Lake Charles, Louisiana, hereby certify that the Ordinances, the titles of which follow below, were introduced at the regular meeting of the Lake Charles City Council on April 3, 2024:

An ordinance providing for the levy and collection of a 2% special sales and use tax for the purposes described herein, in lieu of two 1% (collectively, 2%) special sales and use taxes currently being levied within the City of Lake Charles, and for the levy and collection of a 0.5% special sales and use tax for the purposes described herein, in lieu of the two 0.25% (collectively, 0.5%) sales and use taxes currently being levied and collected within the City of Lake Charles, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 2D of Subtitle II, Title 47 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, as it may be amended (Uniform Local Sales Tax Code), authorized by the election held on November 18, 2023.

An ordinance amending Chapter 20132(b) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Lake Charles to designate Corbina Road and East McNeese Street, a distance of 1000 feet from the roundabout, as a no parking zone and to designate the remainder of Corbina Road within the city limits and East McNeese Street from Highway 14 to Highway 397 as a no commercial vehicle parking zone.

An ordinance accepting the lowest responsible bid and authorizing the City of Lake Charles to enter into an agreement for the purchase of the annual supply of materials and supplies for installation and repair of water mains, services and fire hydrants for use by the Public Works Department, Water Division.

An ordinance accepting the lowest responsible bid and authorizing the City of Lake Charles to enter into an agreement for Project No. CP3377 George H. West Water Treatment Plant New Water Well G15 to Replace G11.

An ordinance accepting the lowest responsible bid and authorizing the City of Lake Charles to enter into an agreement for Project No. CP3274 Red Davis McCollister Road Waterline Extension (South Park Drive to Highway 14).

An ordinance ordering demolition and authorizing the City of Lake Charles to enter into an agreement for demolition of structure located at 335 Martin Luther King Highway, Shri Rameshwar Krupa, LLC, d/b/a Luxury Inn, owner.

An ordinance ordering demolition and authorizing the City of Lake Charles to enter into an agreement for demolition of structure located at 607 East Prien Lake Road, RSS MSBAM 2014C19LA CILC LLC, owner.

An ordinance ordering demolition and authorizing the City of Lake Charles to enter into an agreement for demolition of structure located at 2009 Cessford Street, Willie C. Goins, owner.

An ordinance ordering demolition and authorizing the City of Lake Charles to enter into an agreement for demolition of structure located at 3621 McKinley Street, Clarence Edward Wilson, Jr., Barbara Jean Arceneaux Goodwin, and Linda Sue Arceneaux Briscoe, owners.

An ordinance ordering demolition and authorizing the City of Lake Charles to enter into an agreement for demolition of structure located at 2020 See Street, Thelma Stevens (Estate), owner, subject to a tax sale to the State of Louisiana.

An ordinance ordering demolition and authorizing the City of Lake Charles to enter into an agreement for demolition of structure located at 4008 West Walton Street, Maria Lynn St. Andre, owner.

An ordinance ordering demolition and authorizing the City of Lake Charles to enter into an agreement for demolition of structure located at 1024 North Simmons Street (garage only), Brandon L. Colligan and Anastasia B. Colligan, owners.

An ordinance ordering demolition and authorizing the City of Lake Charles to enter into an agreement for demolition of structure located at 404 South Cherry Street, Essie Mae Galmore, owner.

An ordinance ordering demolition and authorizing the City of Lake Charles to enter into an agreement for demolition of structure located at 100 Armstrong Street, Jonathan Hantz, owner.

An ordinance ordering demolition and authorizing the City of Lake Charles to enter into an agreement for demolition of structure located at 1029 Carl Street, Cassandra Elizabeth Simon,

owner.

An ordinance amending Ordinance Number 19813 and authorizing an extension of time on the condemned structure located at 617 Pine Street, Nicky Wayne Higginbotham, owner.

An ordinance amending Section 245211 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Lake Charles relative to signs.

An ordinance authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of Lake Charles, to enter into cooperative endeavor agreements with businesses in the City for the addition and/or upgrade of new or existing signs to comply with and/or exceed the requirements of amended Section 24-5211 and other ordinances of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Lake Charles, and providing further thereto.

An ordinance amending Section 12.59 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Lake Charles

relative to slabs.

An ordinance authorizing the Mayor, on behalf of the City of the City of Lake Charles, to enter into cooperative endeavor agreements for the removal of slabs/parking lots to comply with and/or exceed the requirements of amended Section 12.59 and other ordinances of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Lake Charles, and providing further thereto.
