NOTICE: INVITATION TO BID ON THE SALE OF TRACT 1 (.664 ACRES) OF ABANDONED SECTION OF N. MILLS STREET AND TRACT 2 (1.529 ACRES) OF ABANDONED WEST STREET, ST. LANDRY PARISH ARNAUVILLE, LOUISIANA, OWNED BY THE TOWN OF ARNAUDVILLE AND PER ORDINANCE NO. 07-2023-2, NO LONGER NEEDED FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES UNDER LA. R.S. 33:4712. The Town of Arnaudville will accept sealed bids at the office of the Town Clerk, Dolores Quebedeaux until 12-noon on February 27, 2024, for these tracts:

Tract 1: a 50 by 578.15 (.664 acres) section of N. Mills Street bounded on the North by the continuation of N. Mills right-of-way at the property of Frank Evans Meche or Assigns, South by the north right-of-way of Quebedeaux Street at intersection with N. Mills Street right-of-way, East by the properties of Maria Black or Assigns, Adam Christopher Olivier or Assigns, Daniel Brown or Assigns and the right-of-way of West Street (Tract 2 described below), and on the West by the properties of Daniel Brown or Assigns, and all as set forth more fully on the Preliminary Plat of Survey dated January 9, 2024, which is on file at the Town of Arnaudville.

Tract 2: a 50 x 1332.15 (1.529 acres) section of West Street bounded on the North by the property of Maria Black or Assigns, South by the property of Adam Christopher Olivier or Assigns, East by the western right-of-way of LA Hwy 740 (Main Street), and on the West by the eastern right-of-way of N. Mills Street (Tract 1 described above), and all as set forth more fully on the Preliminary Plat of Survey dated January 9, 2024, which is on file at the Town of Arnaudville.

The sale of the land is as is with no warranty of condition, and subject to appraisal. Bids may be submitted for either or both tracts. All bids are cash bids; no financing will be provided. In the event of a tie, a preference is awarded to the lowest bidder for both tracts. The bids will be awarded to the highest responsible bidders. Full payment must be received via cashiers check within fifteen (15) days after acceptance of the bid. The bidder(s) is responsible to pay all transaction costs associated with the purchase.

Sealed bids shall be hand delivered or received by mail at 107 Rue De Jausiers, Arnaudville, Louisiana 70512 by the indicated closing date and time. Bids received after the closing date and time will be returned unopened. Any bid not in a sealed envelope clearly labeled Abandoned Roads will not be considered.
