Item 1.03 – Roll Call and declaration of a quorum (or lack of it)

Pursuant to call and due notice to all members, the Plaquemines Parish School Board, with the Honorable Jennifer Sanger, President, presiding, met in regular session at South Plaquemines Elementary School, Port Sulphur, Louisiana, Monday, August 14, 2023, at 6:06 p.m., with the following members present: Darilyn Demolle-Turner, Jaime K. Sauer, Niko Tesvich, Kristee Arbourgh, Michelle J. Lindner, Jennifer Shelley, Bobby Ingraham, Paul Lemaire and Jennifer Sanger; a quorum declared.

Item 1.04- Approval of the Agenda

On motion of Niko Tesvich, seconded by Kristee Arbourgh and carried, it was moved to approve the Agenda with the following amendments: ADD Item: 3.01-Discussion and appropriate action in regard to approval of REVISED and NEW School Board policies passed during the 2023 LA. Legislative Session- Act 393 (REVISED) Public Participation in School Board Meetings, Teleconferences/ Remote Participation in School Board Meetings (REVISED), Act 362 (NEW) Carpool and Bus Line Safety; DEFER Items: 2.01- Discussion Budget vs. Actual - General Fund June 2023 (Preliminary and Unaudited) and Budget vs. Actual - General Fund July 2023, 4.01- Discussion and appropriate action in regard to proposed changes to PPSB Salary Schedules for 2023-2024 Fiscal Year, and 4.02- Presentation of proposed 2023-2024 Fiscal Year Budget, as presented.

On roll call vote, in open meeting the vote on the motion was as follows: UNANIMOUS

Members present were Darilyn D. Turner, Jaime Sauer, Niko Tesvich, Kristee Arbourgh, Michelle Lindner, Jennifer Shelley, Bobby Ingraham, Paul Lemaire and Jennifer Sanger. Others present were: Ronald Bateman, Shelly Ritz, Monica Wertz and Sonya Duplessis. The meeting was called to order by Jennifer Sanger, Board President, at 6:13 p.m.
