Cancienne Canal Project

Assumption Parish Police Jury (APPJ) is issuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQs) from individuals and/or firms interested in providing professional services for the engineering and design of the Cancienne Canal Project in Assumption Parish. This project will provide significant drainage improvements in Ward 5 of Assumption Parish in the Cancienne Canal westerly to Lake Verret. The project consists of: dredging a portion of Cancienne Canal from Lake Verret to the farmlands approximately 3.7 miles, sweeping/cleaning the upstream portion of Cancienne Canal, and hydroseeding along banks of the restored portion of the project as a nature-based solution to help with water quality and bank stabilization.

The responses must be received via the Assumption Parish website (www.assumptionla.com) or hand delivered to the Assumption Parish Police Jury (APPJ) office located 4813 Highway 1, Napoleonville, LA 70390 on or before the date and time specified in the Schedule of Events. Proposals may also be submitted by certified or registered mail with return receipt requested to P. O. Box 520, Napoleonville, LA 70390 but MUST be received and date stamped as received in the Assumption Parish Police Jury Administrative office no later than the deadline as stated in the Schedule of Events.
