The Housing Authority of the City of Slidell is informing the citizens of Slidell that a Public Hearing will take place on Monday, May 22nd, at 10:00AM soliciting public comments on its Request for Release of Funds (RROF) for the HUD Capital Fund Program, as well as its Environmental part 58 Review Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for work to be completed utilizing the Capital Fund monies found in the request. The proposed actions are as follows:

Approximately $1.2 million dollars has been allocated to the Authority. The Authority wishes to use these funds to rehabilitate existing apartments at its Washington Heights and Country Gardens developments. The work will include: replacement of roofing systems, replacement of interior and exterior doors, installation of security cameras, upgrade of existing security gates, painting and flooring of existing units, replacement of screen doors, replacement of windows and window security features.

The City of Slidell is acting as the Responsible Entity for this environmental review. The point of contact for the City of Slidell is:

The Public Hearing will be held at the following location:

Meeting will be held promptly at 10:00AM and members of the public will be given up to 2 minutes with which to pose questions or statements regarding the FONSI and/or the RROF.
