0005649561 LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE: INVITATION TO BID ON THE SALE OF THE BUILDING LOCATED AT 1021 OVERTON STREET ("OLD LIBRARY BUILDING"), ARNAUDVILLE, LOUISIANA, OWNED BY THE TOWN OF ARNAUDVILLE AND, PER ORDINANCE NO. 3-2023, NO LONGER NEEDED FOR PUBLIC PURPOSES UNDER LA. R.S. 33:4712. The Town of Arnaudville will accept sealed bids at the office of the Town Clerk, Dolores Quebedeaux until 12-noon on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 for the sale of the building (known as the Old Library Building), together with all appurtenances thereto, including back and front porches, ramps, and all pillars, located at 1021 Overton St., Arnaudville, La. The building is a white single story raised building (on pillars) with front and back porches. The sale is "as is", of the building and appurtenances only, with no warranty of condition. The bid must be for the appraised value of Twenty-One Thousand and no/100 ($21,000.00) Dollars or higher. All bids are cash bids; no financing will be provided. The bid will be awarded to the highest responsible bidder. Full payment must be received via cashier's check within fifteen (15) days after acceptance of the bid. The building and all appurtenances must be removed from the property after full payment is made, and within thirty (30) days after the award of the bid. The bidder is responsible to pay all transaction costs associated with the purchase. The bidder is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses and compliance with all ordinances, laws, or statutes regarding the removal of building and appurtenances. Sealed bids shall be hand delivered or received by mail at 107 Rue De Jausiers, Arnaudville, Louisiana 70512 by the indicated closing date and time. Bids received after the closing date and time will be returned unopened. Any bid not in a sealed envelope clearly labeled Old Library Building will not be considered.
