PUBLIC NOTICE OF SALE BY UNITED STATES MARSHALS SERVICE. PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Louisiana has been ordered and directed to sell, individually, the M/V JENNY W., Official Number 589065, her engines, tackle, apparel, furniture, etc., to the highest bidder at public auction, free and clear of all liens and encumbrances, after due advertisement according to law, and that the United States Marshal for the Eastern District of Louisiana has been ordered and directed to sell, individually, the M/V LIL SUSAN S., Official Number 563581, her engines, tackle, apparel, furniture, etc., to the highest bidder at public auction, free and clear of all liens and encumbrances, after due advertisement according to law. Said public auction shall be held at 10:00 a.m. on 2nd day of March, 2023, in the lobby of the Federal Court building, United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana, 500 Poydras Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70130. Minimum bid increments of ONE THOUSAND AND NO/100 ($1,000.00) DOLLARS shall be required at the public auction ordered herein. Complainant, South Lafourche Bank & Trust Company, has been authorized to credit bid, in lieu of cash at the individual sales ordered herein, in the total aggregate amount of Complainants principal claim of NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY-ONE THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED NINETY-THREE AND 53/100 ($971,993.53) DOLLARS. The United States Marshal will require the last and highest bidder to whom the property is adjudicated to deposit a minimum of $500.00 or 10% of the bid, whichever is greater, in cash or certified check, or cashiers check on a local bank, and the balance, if any, of the purchase price must be paid in cash or by certified or cashiers check on a local bank on or before confirmation of the sale by the Court and within fourteen (14) days of the adjudication or dismissal of any opposition which may have been filed. In the event that the last and highest bid should be for an amount not in excess of $500.00, its full amount must be paid at the time of adjudication. The proceeds of the public sale shall be forthwith paid into the registry of the Court to be disposed of according to law. Said public auction and sale shall be conducted in accordance with Local Admiralty Rule 64.6 of the United States District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana, all provisions of which are incorporated herein as if set forth in their entirety.
